Weiterbauen, Weiterdenken – Neue Häuser für Martin Luther / 2017

"The book is illustrated with wonderfully reserved, cool-documenting, undramatic, almost graphic black-and-white photos by Tomasz Lewandowski, a photographer from Halle. Lewandowski's works do not comment, but they impressively illustrate the architects' efforts to create modern façade designs in the high historic areas."

Book project in cooperation with Stiftung Luthergedenkstätten in Sachsen-Anhalt. The publication documents and describes the museum expansions in Wittenberg, Eisleben and Mansfeld, three towns in Saxony Anhalt that were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996. All photographs in the book were taken on 8x10 black-and-white negatives with a plate camera.
