"The book is illustrated with wonderfully reserved, cool-documenting, undramatic, almost graphic black-and-white photos by Tomasz Lewandowski, a photographer from Halle. Lewandowski's works do not comment, but they impressively illustrate the architects' efforts to create modern façade designs in the high historic areas."

Stiftung Luthergedenkstätten in Sachsen-Anhalt. The publication documents and describes the museum expansions in Wittenberg, Eisleben and Mansfeld, three towns in Saxony Anhalt that were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996.
